Mindful Yoga Therapy
Mindful Yoga Therapy was developed by Suzanne Manafort through her volunteer work with veterans at her local Veterans Administration Hospital in Connecticut. It is clinically tested and empirically informed. MYT is currently offered across the country at forty-eight VA sites. In addition to the effectiveness of MYT for veterans, it is also now being used for alcohol and drug addiction, anxiety and stress disorders, diseases of the central nervous system, domestic violence, eating disorders, and trauma. Mindful Yoga Therapy is supported the Give Back Yoga Foundation, a national 501(c) 3, that brings yoga to under-served populations.
In our MYT classes, you will learn to implement the tools in the MYT “toolbox”, which include Breathing, Mindful Movement, Yoga Nidra, Gratitude, and Meditation.
